THE WARM UP BEFORE THE STORM...
The weekend was cold and a little snowy. We picked up a little dusting to an inch in parts of my local area. Now we'll start to melt some snow away into the new week.
Temperatures will be warming up as a ridge builds into the area ahead of the storm coming into the region on Wednesday.
Typically ahead of strong storms there will be a surge of warmth. This week will be no different. Monday will be the beginning:
And it gets even warmer on Tuesday:
Temperatures will rise early in the day on Wednesday and start to drop as that storm moves in:
Then, of course, attention turns to the storm for the middle of the week. This is the latest overview from the National Weather Service:
Here's the latest placement Wednesday evening on the Euro:
And a bit further with the GFS:
There will be a wintry mix, ice, snow, and rain with this storm. The latest trends have trended south due to a weaker storm. There's still time for this to change depending on how the energy comes together, or phases.
We'll have to continue to watch the latest trends, but a good chunk of the Midwest will be dealing with some messy travel Wednesday into Thursday.

PLEASE CONSIDER SUPPORTING TSWAILS...
Hi everybody, I'm asking that those of you who find value in the site to consider a $12 dollar voluntary subscription covering operating expenses and the time and effort I put into the site. My $12 dollar asking fee is the cost of a pizza or a dozen donuts. Those are gone in a day, TSwails.com is here for you all year long. It's a heck of a value and all I'm asking is that if you enjoy the site and see value in it, that you please consider a voluntary subscription. I'm asking $12.00 dollars a year. That's $1 dollar a month or 3 cents a blog. Thank you for your support and consideration. Terry
