TAKING A SPRING BREAK...
Spring was in full force last week with record warmth and severe storms on Friday. Cooler air moved in behind that storm and led to a chilly, breezy day Saturday. Even some snow showers wrapped in behind it into Sunday morning:

The snow ends and Sunday will be even colder than yesterday:

Temperatures will begin to warm back up on Monday as winds increase out of the south. It will be breezy and above normal:

Temperatures climb well into the 60s and 70s on Tuesday ahead of a strong midweek storm:

The warmth will be brief as a storm system arrives Wednesday with rain, storms, and snow all possible. There will be a cold front moving through late Tuesday and low pressure system that could trigger storms late Tuesday night. Rain will then continue into Wednesday morning with a transition to snow on its tail:

Temperatures will be dropping from northwest to southeast. There could be quite the spread in temperatures across my local area, depending on the timing of the storm. There will be a transition eventually to snow to the southeast, but accumulation will depend on if it gets cold enough:

There are still a lot of differences amongst the data on timing and that will be critical in snowfall amounts. Still, the greatest potential appears to be northwest of my local area. Here is a summary from the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities:

We'll be watching this system closely as spring takes a little break...
