SUMMER SIZZLE AND STORM...
A true summer pattern has unfolded with the heat, humidity, and storms. An MCS (mesoscale convective system) moved through southeast Iowa into Illinois Sunday afternoon and dropped the temperature. Elsewhere the 80s and 90s were in full swing.
The heat continues and we'll be into the 90s on Monday:
Humidity will be high and it will feel like the mid 90s to near 100 degrees - ooooof!
Tuesday will be another toasty day with temperatures back in the 90s....
A cold front will move through Wednesday and lead to scattered showers and storms:
This won't do much... but temperatures will be knocked back slightly on Wednesday afternoon:"
The 80s and 90s remain Thursday on the first day of astronomical summer:
There will be some scattered storms in the area as well:
Then the toasty-ness continues on Friday:
Stay cool!
