STUCK IN THE FREEZER...
Wind chills have been below zero since early Sunday morning. Wind chills will remain below zero for most of the week ahead. Brutal cold can be seen Sunday evening near the US/Canada border, with wind chills near 40 below!

Temperatures themselves end up just slightly below zero by Monday morning:

Cold Weather Advisories will be in effect until noon Monday as wind chills will be in the teens and 20s below zero:

More impacts will be seen in the deep snowpack and will be most apparent on Tuesday morning. Extreme Cold Watches are already in place as temperatures will be in the teens below zero and wind chills will be at dangerous levels:

Wind chills remain bitter with temperatures staying close to zero through much of the week. Here's a look at select cities in eastern Iowa and western Illinois from NWS Quad Cities:

Warmer air will begin to build in and temperatures could potentially rise above freezing by Sunday as a ridge builds in. It will have quite the snowpack to fight through:
