STAYING DRY...

While there has been some rain in September, it hasn't been very beneficial. In fact, in Cedar Rapids (at the airport) there hasn't been ANY measurable precipitation this month:

The quiet, dry conditions will persist through the next week across the region. That's despite there being a switch toward some fall temperatures. Sunday will be another sunny and mild day, with temperatures running around 10 degrees above normal:

The warm conditions persist on Monday ahead of an approaching cold front:

Dew points will be slightly elevated Monday afternoon, as a result. It won't be horribly humid, but a bit noticeable:

The front will move through late Monday night without much notice in terms of precipitation.. no rain expected:

But you will notice the change outside as humidity will be significantly lower by Tuesday morning:

There will be plenty of sunshine Tuesday and temperatures will be held close to 70, near normal for the first day of October:

Temperatures will cool down toward 40 by Wednesday morning:

Temperatures will be in the 70s Wednesday but back toward 80 by Thursday:

Temperatures will continue to go up and down over the next week or two:

Despite that, little to no precipitation is expected over the next 7 days:

The dry weather is expected to persist through the first half of October:

Hopefully we can see see some raindrops soon...
