SPRING SHOWERS....

A nice spring day Saturday will be but a memory as Sunday turns gloomy and rainy. It's not all bad news as rain is very much so needed. Dry and drought conditions have continued through the winter and the below normal snowfall and lack of snowpack around won't help...

A low pressure system will pass to our north on Sunday and bring the next chance for rain. A warm front will pass through and lead to showers and a few storms in the morning:

Stronger storms will move through Missouri with a cold front bringing more rain in the afternoon to the north:

Rainfall totals won't be overly substantial, but a few tenths of an inch to a half an inch:

A few scattered showers will move through Monday night:

Another system will come through Thursday, but there's uncertainty at this point as to the exact track and where rain will set up.

The GFS is further north into my local area:

With the Euro a bit futher south:

This correlates well with the Climate Prediction Center outlook through the end of the month for an active pattern:

The average date for the last measurable snow is around the end of March, but there aren't any signs of snow in the near future. Perhaps our spring showers stay all rain and no snow, but time will tell!
