HOT WITH A SIDE OF STORMS...
The heat is back on after a fairly pleasant day on Sunday. As heat and humidity moves back in there will be the chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday morning.
There's still some uncertainty about the placement and intensity of the storms, but there should be some decent rain wherever it falls. Once the storms clear temperatures will quickly climb to the 80s and 90s:
Humidity will be much higher by the afternoon as well:
Tuesday will be mostly dry during the day and the heat will grow:
Another system will bring a chance for storms in the evening:
Once those storms clear temperatures will once again be cranked up into the 90s:
The heat is due to a big area of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere that will sitting in overhead for several days:
The heat, along with daily rain chances, will continue each day through the week. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible but will be dependent on timing (storms may be weaker if they continually happen overnight).
Stay cool and keep the umbrella handy!
