I NEED YOUR HELP TO MEET OPERATING EXPENSES
THE FUTURE OF THE SITE DEPENDS ON YOU.
Hi everyone, as you know, TSwails.com is a no-pay site; existing on voluntary subscriptions or personal donations. If you find value in the site, I'm asking kindly that you make the donation you feel is worthy. I'm suggesting $20.00, roughly a nickel a day. Less than 5% of my readers donate, so your gift is not only appreciated, it helps immensely. Your contribution, whatever you can swing, supports the content, infrastructure, and operational costs. Thanks for anything you can do!
EMERGING FROM THE TUNDRA...
It's no secret it's been cold lately. Temperatures Saturday evening are sitting well below zero across the Upper Midwest:
We've been unfortunately pretty familiar with subzero temperatures lately. Temperatures have been running well below normal over the last two weeks. Here's a look at the last 7 days:
It's easy to have arctic air pour in when you have lots of snow on the ground too! Here's the current snowpack:
That's a lot of snow that's largely built up over the last 14 days... eastern Iowa and western Illinois are right in the bullseye of the heaviest snow over the last 2 weeks!
When the weekend started we had a trough of cold air in overhead:
And currently a big ridge of high pressure is building in:
We'll be in the teens on Sunday which will feel like a heat wave!
And we could get even above freezing by Monday:
This will come with the potential for a wintry mix, as Terry outlined in his last post.
