There's not really much going on in the weather in the Upper Midwest, which I think we're all thankful for. There will be plenty of blue skies ahead. This is because we have ridges everywhere! In the upper levels of the atmosphere we'll be under a big ridge of high pressure hanging out:

This pattern will lead to little precipitation as the flow is out of the northwest, generally promotes drier air.

At the surface we also have high pressure hanging out:

There will be a few storm systems that move through this week, but they won't be very strong or have the moisture to really do much in the way of precipitation. So it's generally going to be sunny and pretty nice over the next week. Temperatures will be near and above normal... on Sunday we'll be in the 30s:

Monday gets a little warmer:

Staying similar on Tuesday:

Enjoy some sunshine and good travel weather ahead of the Christmas holiday... less than a week away! RK

PLEASE CONSIDER SUPPORTING TSWAILS...

Hi everybody, I'm asking that those of you who find value in the site to consider a $12 dollar voluntary subscription covering operating expenses and the time and effort I put into the site. My $12 dollar asking fee is the cost of a pizza or a dozen donuts. Those are gone in a day, TSwails.com is here for you all year long. It's a heck of a value and all I'm asking is that if you enjoy the site and see value in it, that you please consider a voluntary subscription. I'm asking $12.00 dollars a year. That's $1 dollar a month or 3 cents a blog. Thank you for your support and consideration. Terry
