BACK UP WE GO....
The weekend has been very fall-like in scenery amongst the trees and in the temperatures. The fall weather doesn't seem to last long around these parts, though. An approaching cold front at the surface with a strong ridge up above will send temperatures back up:
Winds have already picked up out of the south Sunday but temperatures will remain near normal, in the low to mid 60s. More clouds will move in Monday, but temperatures will still manage to climb well above normal:
Temperatures on Tuesday will soar back 20 to 25 degrees above normal with strong southerly winds:
Once again we could be nearing records on Tuesday afternoon in Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities:
The aforementioned cold front will move through late Wednesday. Temperatures will still be mild just ahead of the front:
A good chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives once again Wednesday evening:
The GFS and European models are showing potential for beneficial rainfall. There's severe drought in portions of the region so we'll approach it with cautious optimism.

Some good consistency, but still a few days out so we'll have to keep an eye on the trends.
