After a quiet weekend, the weather pattern will quickly ramp up in the new week. Monday will still be dry and mild, though.

Tuesday will start dry and temperatures will rise back into the 40s:

Clouds will build in and rain will move in during the late morning/early afternoon:

Rain will continue into the night and could amount to up to a half an inch of water in a few spots:

Colder air moves in as our next storm system loads up for Wednesday night into Thursday:

There has been a trend in the last 24 hours showing this storm taking a southern track. Here's the latest view on the European model:

And the GFS, which has now come into more agreement with the Euro:

Some heavy snow will likely lead to another tough Thursday morning commute in the region. Just a question of where exactly the storm tracks and where the heaviest snow sets up. This would be fluffier snow than the last round... however some shifts in the track could still occur, but definitely appears that eastern Iowa is in the crosshairs of some of the heavy snow!
