Temperatures got back into the 50s and 60s on Sunday. In Cedar Rapids the temperature hit 60 back-to-back Saturday and Sunday. This marks the first back-to-back 60s in December since 2001 and the most 60s since '01 (there were 5 days in the 60s that year!).

A cold front will move through late Sunday night and knock back temperatures slightly on Monday:

It will be breezy with winds out of the west through the day, gusting as high as 30 mph.

Another cold front will move through Monday night and knock back temperatures for the middle of the week. Check out the temperature trend, as temperatures don't stay down for long:

The cold air moves in briefly and then it's a whole lot of ridging (oranges) and mild air:

The pattern isn't terribly active, but there is a storm system this Friday that will need to be watched. There could be rain and/or snow in the region but any flakes likely wouldn't stick around long with the warmth ahead for the weekend.
