ANOTHER NOVEMBER SOAKER...
Rain will become widespread Monday and bring in some much needed water to the region. The day will start dry and rain will move in after noon:
Temperatures will gradually rise through the day and peak in the evening. It will also be quite windy with gusts around 30 mph.
Rain will continue through the afternoon and evening as the temperatures go up. There may even be a few thunderstorms in the southeast:
Rain will wind down by Tuesday morning and totals will be around a half an inch to over an inch in spots:
Temperatures will drop through the day on Tuesday as the cold front moves through:
Temperatures will be held to near 40 on Wednesday with much colder air in place:
Some light rain will be possible and some snow could mix in as well in some spots:
What is certain is that it will be much colder for the remainder of the week and temperatures will remain closer to normal as we head through the end of the month. Here's the 16-day trend for Cedar Rapids:

With the cooler air in place that could open up the region to more flakeage. But for now we'll have a little taste of winter with the temperatures at least.
