A SPRING IN YOUR STEP....
Wednesday will be a beautiful early spring day with sunshine and mild temperatures. Winds will be light and it will be an overall pleasant day!

Clouds will build in overnight and showers will be possible by Thursday morning:

A warm front will be approaching from the south and help send temperatures into the upper 50 and low 60s Thursday afternoon. That front will trigger additional thunderstorms Thursday evening:

The higher chance for storms seems to be setting up near the Iowa/Missouri border where a few storms could be strong. There's a 1 out of 5 (marginal) severe risk painted in my local area:

A storm or two would be capable of hail up to the size of quarters with small hail possible with other storms. The warm front will lift north and increase winds out of the south for Friday:

Temperatures will quickly climb on Friday to near/above 80 degrees... and challenge record highs!

That will be ahead of a storm system over the weekend. Friday will be dry and much of Saturday will be too. Temperatures will be around 70 Saturday with showers and thunderstorms arriving late Saturday into Sunday morning:

Strong storms are possible, but the late timing would limit severe storms. Severe weather is more likely southeast of the area on Sunday. A second impulse on Sunday will lead to more rain and the potential for some snow in the mix:

There could be some minor accumulation in grassy areas as temperatures cool below freezing Sunday night into Monday morning. Time will tell as we get closer and March goes out like a lion.
