A LITTLE BIT LONGER...

While it's been cooler lately, we've been generally running above normal. Over the last month we've seen a lot of mild conditions:

Now we have a little bit longer in the mild air before some hints of winter arrives... Temperatures will be in the mid 50s, about 10 degrees above normal, on Sunday:

As our next storm moves in temperatures will go even higher on Monday:

It will be breezy as rain starts to become widespread in the afternoon:

Rain will wind down Tuesday morning as the storm lifts to the north of Iowa:

Temperatures will remain mild into the morning and stay steady in the afternoon or start to drop depending on the timing of the cold front:

It'll then be much colder Wednesday with temperatures near and even below normal:

The chill will remain through the end of the week. There will be another weaker, system that comes through Wednesday and leads to the potential for some additional showers. Some of those showers may be in the frozen variety in the region. There's uncertainty on the snow potential and you can see the differences in the data.
