A BRIEF BREAK...
The sun poked through finally on Saturday and helped send temperatures well into the 40s and even 50s! While this didn't break records, we sat 15-20 degrees above normal. In fact, temperatures still sat well above normal at 10 pm on Saturday night:
After some time in the sun, we're back to the fog. Dense Fog Advisories span across the Upper Midwest into Sunday:
Temperatures will remain mild Sunday afternoon despite clouds, fog and some drizzle:
The cloud cover will be due to a storm system passing to the southeast of the state:
Another disturbance may move through the area in the afternoon and trigger some drizzle:
Clouds remain Monday and temperatures stay mild with another system on the approach:
Rain will be possible late in the afternoon and will be the trigger for the change in temperatures for the new week:
As cooler air moves in, there will be the potential for a wintry mix or light snow briefly overnight and into Tuesday morning:
The last day of 2024 will be a cool one, but still sitting a few degrees above normal:
And the first day of 2025 will be colder, much more typical of a winter day:
Temperatures will remain near/below normal through the first two weeks of January:
We've had a brief break from winter, but it's on the way back.
